Without benefit of a facility of any kind the Humane Society of Harris County will care for and adopt over 200 animals this year. Yet, Harris County’s stray animal population continues to expand. Not only must we be able to provide more housing for animals in need as they await a forever home but we must have a centrally located facility that will provide support to the community for all animal welfare needs.

The Cornerstone Society encourages 2,000 Harris County residents to donate just $100. The $200,000 the Society will raise will lay the foundation for our new facility and allow HSHC to build and occupy an interim facility at Barnes Mill Rd. and begin operation.

It will stand as evidence to the love and kindness so many donors have for the people and animals closest to them. Purchase a picket and memorialize or honor a special person or pet in your life. Each picket will be mounted with a 1 ½” by 2 1/4” engraved plate. $50.00 per picket.
